the problem:

I first approached this project by trying to visualize obscure information. However, the problem with obscure information is that it's usually somewhat obscure. So I approached it from the other side and decided to reinterpreit information that can be found in abundance: the weather.

Information about the weather is usually represented in a very dry manner. Emphasis is placed on exact numbers and clinical analysis. So here I have illustrated the weather in a way that the viewer can sense it. Visualized it to be an ambient element for a viewer who, if they are on their computer, may not be able to step outside and experience it first-hand. Basically, what does this information really represent. This is an ambient piece, it is not meant to replace the already very informative weather sources that are out there.
