Project Description:
This piece is a website created
for students, staff and faculty at
Carnegie Mellon University. Users
have their own personal space
where they can explore Pittsburgh
and find directions to a specific
location. Especially for people
who are new to the community,
this aims to help newcomers get
familiar with the local neighbor-
hood and help them get around
easily. What differentiates this
tool from something like Google
Map or Mapquest is, users get to
bring in their own perspectives
by sharing unique information,
on top of just the given set of
locations and directions. Users
can also store information and
keep a set list of locations
that they frequently visit.
I envision this website to be
stationed at the University Center,
which is always the starting point.

As you run the actual program, imagine you want to go to Giant Eagle
on Centre Ave. to buy some groceries. Find how to get there by clicking
on "Search" at the top.
